I am an adopted person, born in Brisbane in 1973. You are probably wondering why I am here....??

I have been and continue to deal with DOCS Qld, I have now 18 years expereince in dealing with these fascist buggers. I have dealt with all the senior execs including the DG and her legal staff and can tell you oh so much....

Why have I spent 18yrs dealing with them?? I went into DOCS when I turned 18 to find out who I am, who my real parents are and I wanted a birth certificate. DId I get this no, I got a letter warning me that if I attempted to contact my mother I would go to jail for 2yrs and suffer 7500 fine. Nice...

I still 18yrs later don't know who my own family is.... I have proof the dept has tapped my phone, recorded provate phone calls and changed documents, they won't even give me my name....I am the head of Qld's largest adoption support group and we are doing our own class action, we adopted ppl deserve to be treated as humans not lab rats....So there is probably nothing you guys couldn't tell me I wouldn't believe about this dept. I because of my media interviews last yr (38) has got alot of calls from ppl and parents fighting the dept, my heart goes out to all who have to fight the devil or better known as docs, I wish you luck.....

The only crime I am guilty of is being born......I love the not so smart state..... Because of DOCS I will never meet another of my own
Flesh and blood. I will never see my own mother or father and never meet any brothers or sisters of mine....I can't ever hold my mothers
hand and tell her I love her....I'm not even allowed to know her name....what a sick state...

And just think your parents are probably trying to do the same thing themselves. i'm starting to wonder do DoCS actually do anything to help anyone?

We have a troublesome 15 year old that has been in trouble with the police. We have tried everything to keep them out of trouble but have failed until now. We decided to ring the Department of Child Safety in case they could redirect us for help and what did we get for our trouble? The police and Department of Child Safety inspectors visited our school asking questions to both our children. It was bad enough for my 15 year old child, but I do not approve when they also cornered my 11 year old at Primary school. My eldest is old enough and battle hardened enough to take care of himself but they did ask some personal questions about their father that I do not approve. Can someone please tell me, can they do this? I have spoken to legal aid and depending who you ring and how many times you ring, you seem to get a different answer each time.

Just to get my own name (which I don't know,DOCS changed it when I was adopted) Just to get my own name has cost me over 200k, I don't even have a DOB, that is right....There are over 3000 of us in Qld in the same position and we are taking the dept to task on this one.....Its sad when john q citizen knows DOCS laws better than they do......sad day for the state indeed...

Try opening a bank account without a birth certificate or getting a passport or anything that requied 100 points for ID...real pain in the backside....Thanks DOCS....Best interest of the Child my A*s!!!

Hey geek_is_back, sad story, what can I say, you are a perfect example of DOCS illegal practices, you say there are another 3000 or so in the same position as you just in QLD, that is overwhelming. Nowhere near as extreme as your case, but my partners two eldest children have a birth certificate, but my partner does not have the originals, DOCS have those, all my partner has is a photocopy of each. DOCS went to the liberty of applying for and filling out the details to obtain the children's birth certificates, how nice of them. When my partner received her photocopied versions, the two children have different surnames, go figure, even though they both have the same father, DOCS DNA tested the father beforehand, DOCS just decided to make up their own surname for one of the children, disgraceful. Even though the 2 children do have a birth certificate, most places do not accept a photocopy, so simple things like enrolling a child into a school, DOCS have to be involved. Anyway good luck with your class action. You deserve to know who you are and where you came from.

The only help you will get from these mongrels is learning how to be cold and over protective of anyone. It has got to the point these mongrels have saturated every needed service with laws to report anything and everything. You cant trust hospitals, doctors, schools, nurses, Police. lets cut it short, any health department employee or professionals or law enforcement. Nobody can trust them.

A little of course. With all the new pedantic laws out here every one is a copper or a health official, You just need to see the shop down the road showing to many smokes or someone watering their lawns to late in the day and you can cause people troubles.

Then the shop owner receives a complaint regarding her cigarette display is thinking how ridiculous and stupid and sees someone watering their lawn and thinks, "that's worse as she is wasting water and what the hell did I do sooo wrong?" Calls the council and they come out and give the water hog a fine. In turn the water hog thinks the neighbour reported them and sees the little kids and calls DoCS.

Society is being played against each other by the government while they make more and more moves to get 100% control over Australians. You better freaking believe it's true guys. Time to revolt is coming closer

Cuss you r so right, the major problem is for me anyhow I 18yrs ago went in to find my real family, the one I was stolen from, yes I have a death cert.....go figure how does a dead child get adopted???? Anyhow I have now spent 18yrs building our group to now be a force they have to rekon with....we out number them....2500 employees docs....3217 us.....I like them odds.....

To Ihategovdept. Thank you for your kind offer...We actually have our own forum, we started in 1995. I would love the opportunity to speak with you re: our issue and yours. We may be able to help. I was one of the kids in care so I know what your kids are going through.....I was both adopted and fostered. I know the system, I have had to live with the system for 36yrs now....I have had to read the uologies at 17 funerals in the last 4 years for our fallen breathern....we lost yet another 3 weeks ago who could not live with what has happened. I have seen the not so good , bad and terrible this system can inflict upon a person. My heart and my fellow breatherns' hearts just cry for the kids, now lost in the system.....they are us 30,40 and 50 years later.....We as ex kids of the state who were stolen from our parents are going to fight to stop whats going...ONE chance at childhood....more like One chance at parenthood.....
